The aspiring six-pack abs and beach ready body will no longer be only a dream with MASSFIT™. A muscle stimulator is small enough to be put into a briefcase. This percussive therapy device delivers electrical pulses through the included electrodes. Providing Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) as well as Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS).
Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) is a protocol that elicits a muscle contraction using electrical impulses that directly stimulate your motor neurons. EMS devices allow you to engage in deep, intense, and complete muscular contractions without actually activating (or stressing) your CNS (Central Nervous System) —not to mention your joints and tendons. Although EMS devices will not allow you to sit on the couch eating bon bons while you build biceps like an Avenger, it can help with recovery, relaxation and even burning some fat.
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) focuses on the output of the device rather than the physiological intention of currents. TENS units work by delivering small electrical impulses through electrodes that have adhesive pads to attach them to a person’s skin. These electrical impulses flood the nervous system, reducing its ability to transmit pain signals to the spinal cord and brain.
There are 6 pulse modes, each with 10 intensity levels. If you are using the device for the first time, it is recommended that you start with the default Mode 1 for improving muscle performance. After the muscle training, you may feel sore and aching muscles due to strain from exercise. We recommend you follow up with one of the TENS modes, as they are good for the relief of such pain. Please see the EMS and TENS modes in the following table:
Easily click the “M” button to switch the mode and “+” to increase the intensity level. The mode will change be indicated by the LED light flashing
- Mode 1 (EMS): Stimulation of healthy muscles in order to improve and facilitate muscle performance.
- Mode 2 (TENS): Relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles due to strain from exercise or work activities.
- Mode 3 (EMS and TENS): Combination of the benefit from both EMS and TENS of Mode 1 & 2
- Mode 4 (EMS): Visible muscle contraction saw for improving muscle performance
- Mode 5 (TENS): Deeper relief of pain associated with sore and aching muscles due to strain from exercise or work activities.
- Mode 6 (EMS and TENS): Combination of the benefit from both EMS and TENS of Mode 4 & 5.
Modes and functions of Massfit. Mode A & B is for fat burning. In these two modes, the muscles move intensely and burn fat quickly. Mode C & D for muscle growth. Strong elastic movement, and deep stimulation to support muscle growth. Mode E & F for body sculpting. These are composite modes that help to build a perfect body shape.
Using MASSFIT abdominal belt or abs stimulator. Making sure your skin is clean and dry. You can wipe with dry tissue or towel before having time with MASSFIT™. Place the device into the belt by clicking two pins with the MASSFIT™ turned OFF. Using MASSFIT™ should be located over the belly button. Turn the electrodes ON by pressing the power button. The intensity will be in the lowest setting. Press + or – to adjust the intensity level. When the session is complete, power OFF the device by pressing – with 2x quick press.
To charge the device is quite simple. Plugin the USB cable to the device and USB wall adapter for 20 minutes only.
When to avoid Massfit? Although this is safe for most people, experts recommend that some groups of people avoid EMS and TENS treatment unless a doctor advises its use. This recommendation applies to the following people: expectant mothers, people with epilepsy, people with heart problems, and people with a pacemaker or another type of electrical or metal implant.
